I am so glad I have time off work because taking care of these babies is a complete 24/7 job. They’re so beautiful and adorable though that I can’t stay mad for too long when they wake me and Blaine up in the middle of the night.
Blaine looked between his children, and they were so beautiful. He looked at Kurt and leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. “Do you wanna hold Aiden?” Blaine asked as he looked down at Elizabeth. Before they left, he wanted to thank Amy for everything that she did for giving them two blessings and not bailing out.
He had read on the internet that some surrogates didn’t give the paying families their children and that thought terrified him night after night. That didn’t happen. Aiden and Elizabeth were here in their arms. He looked down at Aiden and smiled before kissing the top of his head. “Beautiful little boy,” he whispered.
Kurt smiled and nodded. He wished he could hold both of the twins and just stare at them, but that would obviously be quite a handful. He gave Elizabeth a kiss on the cheek before he switched very carefully with Blaine, taking Aiden into his arms and holding him to his chest. “Hi Aiden,” he murmured softly, giving him a soft kiss on the forehead. He looked at Blaine and smiled. “I can’t believe they’re ours.”
The nurses informed them that they needed to sign the birth certificates and that they could go in and see Amy if they wanted to. Kurt nodded. “Yeah, sure. We want to see, right, Blaine?” he asked, smiling at Blaine. He wanted to thank Amy so much for doing this for them. He felt like he owed her his life.
Blaine smiled and hugged Kurt tight. “Words cannot describe how happy I am right now,” he told Kurt. Blaine smiled again as Kurt kissed him. “You’re going to be an even better father. Our children are going to adore you,” Blaine whispered, nuzzling their noses together gently. “Thank you for marrying me and wanting to start a family with me,” he said, kissing him lightly.
The door to the delivery door opened and Blaine’s heart started pounding in his chest. Two nurses came out holding two bundles; one blue and one pink. Blaine quick glanced at Kurt as the nurses walked forward. Blaine let go of Kurt and grabbed his hand.
“Mr. and Mr. Anderson, I have two people who have been waiting months to meet you,” one of the nurses said as they reached them. Blaine had to let go of Kurt’s hand as the nurses placed their son in Blaine’s arms and their daughter in Kurt’s. “They are so perfect,” Blaine whispered, looking at the nurses and Kurt with watery eyes.
“You don’t have to thank me Blaine, you never have to. I love you,” Kurt smiled. The doors to the delivery room opened just then and Kurt felt his heart skip a beat as he looked over and two nurses approached them. Looking at the two babies bundled in a pink blanket and blue blanket in their arms had Kurt’s heart pounding and he tried to stop himself from shaking because he didn’t want to be so nervous that he accidentally dropped his baby. He would probably jump off a bridge if he did that.
Taking the baby girl into his arms, Kurt felt tears start running down his cheeks as he smiled widely at her. His face was lit up with happiness as he looked at his sleeping baby. “Hi, little Ellie,” he whispered, stroking her small cheek lightly with his finger. He didn’t want to take his eyes off her, but he needed to see his other baby, too. Looking over at Blaine, he smiled happily and nodded. “They are. They’re so beautiful,” he agreed, stepping closer to Blaine so he could get a look at Aiden. “I can’t believe how gorgeous they are,” he said, happy tears continuing to fall down his cheeks.
Blaine couldn’t believe it was happening. Him and Kurt were standing outside the door of the delivery room. The twins were two days early, which wasn’t a very big deal. However, it was two days that he hadn’t prepared himself for. Blaine was shaking with nerves. His children were almost in this world, and he was hoping that he wouldn’t screw up. Blaine grabbed his husbands hand and looked over at him. He’s been in love with him for seven years and they were finally starting their family. Blaine leaned over and kissed Kurt on the cheek.
“This is it, babe. We are becoming the family that we’ve always talked about and dreamed of,” Blaine whispered, giving Kurt’s hand a gentle squeeze. He couldn’t wait for the years to come with his husband and children. The closer it got and the more he thought, the more excited he was getting. Finding a surrogate was the hardest part of it all. He and Kurt would be up until the early morning reading and signing papers, but it all paid off.
Kurt squeezed Blaine’s hand and gave his husband a nervous smile. He’s never felt so damn anxious over something in his entire life, not even when was about to marry Blaine. He hoped over and over in his head that nothing would go wrong with the twins. The doctor had said everything looked fine and there hadn’t been any complications during the whole pregnancy, so Kurt knew he shouldn’t worry but he couldn’t help it. He wouldn’t feel relief until his babies were in his and Blaine’s arms.
“I know…I can’t believe it, Blaine,” Kurt murmured, wrapping his arms around Blaine’s neck and hugging him tightly. “I love you so much. Do you have any idea how happy I am that it’s you that I’m standing here with right now?” he whispered, smiling as he pressed kisses across Blaine’s cheek to his mouth. “You’re going to be such a great father, baby.”
Amy is in labor at the hospital right now and Blaine and I are leaving right now to go be there! I’m so nervous and excited that I’m shaking! Here’s hoping that nothing goes wrong and our babies are happy and healthy!

I agree, and I’m sure Cooper and Seb would have no problem babysitting for us once in a while.
Yes, I’m perfectly fine with that. I don’t think we are going to need a babysitter. That’s great, I can’t wait.
Good, I hope not. I really don’t want to have to trust someone else with our babies.
